History: Assignments
Know Your US Presidents!

Here's what you do:

  1. Get a lot of paper.
  2. There are 43 Presidents. I need info on terms each president served, who his vice-president(s) was (were), his marital status, religious affiliation, state of origin, political party affiliation, and from 6-10 blank lines to cover big events during his administration.
  3. You know, you might want to type this up.
  4. Info on the Presidential term, VP, marital status, religion, state, and party can all go on one or two lines after the President's name.
  5. The events to match up with the presidents are listed below. You need to put them with the proper president and find out what year or years the event covered. You'll also have to put down a note about the significance of the event, so that's why you need the extra space for them.

When you're finished, it should follow this format for each president:

L. Dean Webb

Term: 1993-1997; VP: Joe Bleaux; married, 3 children; religion unknown; Texas; Libertarian
Lettuce Scandal (1993) Aides convicted of lettuce smuggling
“Pineapple” Speech (1993) Famous speech where he demanded free pineapple for all Americans
Treaty of Poughkeepsie (1994) Established international freedom of pizzas; ends Pepperoni War (1987-1994) between USA and Italy
Mongol Invasion (1995) Led nation in defeating Mongol hordes
Stupidity Epidemic (1996) America swept by terrible test scores

The whole mess is due at the end of the six weeks. See your syllabus for actual due date. Get busy. I want these typed. Enjoy.
