Santana

Saxon

Spinal Tap For a fake band, these guys ROCK! The movie, "This is Spinal Tap" is a rock classic and the soundtrack a must-have for every collector. The movie is recently re-released on DVD and contains loads of extra goodies. SpinalTap.Com is their official page.

Spirit

Steppenwolf

Steely Dan Like Deep Purple, these guys are survivors in every sense of the word. Not only do their earlier recordings stand up under the test of time, their reformation has produced a creative burst, giving fans their money's worth on new recordings. True, their style is much more controlled and laid-back, with much heavier jazz and fusion influences in their work, but they are still consummate artists who seldom fail to deliver musically. If you can afford it, start with their boxed set, Citizen Steely Dan. If not, go for their latest, Two Against Nature, and what is arguably their best early album, Aja. A greatest hits package is another good way to catch the Steely Dan bug. The group has it a good site in www.steelydan.com, so go check them out on the web.

Screaming Lord Sutch

.38 Special For those who like southern rock like Lynyrd and such. The late Ronnie VanZandt's brother fronts amongst others. (Mikael Ahlberg)

Thunder A great "no-lickin'-on guitar no nonsense down to earth" rock band, the kind I like. Great singer, he sounds a little like a mix between David Coverdale and Paul Rodgers .... could be worse, huh! (Mikael Ahlberg)
